McCarty Party 1989: The Summer of ’69 Woodstock Revisited

The Summer of ’69 ~ Woodstock Revisited, was the McCarty Party ’89 acknowledgement of the nostalgia craze. That day we looked back fondly on a simpler time and wore tie-dyed T-shirts (alot of them!). If you have any McCarty Party partywear, you probably have this shirt… because it was the most popular T-shirt we ever produced.

This was also the first year we had a beer truck dispensing that golden nectar we know and love (beer on wheels, what a concept)! In addition, we added a concession stand to simplify the whole food question (i.e., what is food? do I need it? where do I get it?). Not that McCarty Party ’89 was all high points; though the beer tricks got stupider (and therefore, better), the lip sync competition was so bad that no winner was awarded (it was, as they might have said in 1969, a bummer).

The key phrase for ’89? “Groovy man, dig that jeep in the ditch.”
