McCarty Party ’88 made the kind of political statement that can only be made in America: “We want beer, buffalo, and babes…” (not necessarily in that order). McFarm truly became a home where the buffalo roam in 1988, and Buffy the Buffalo became the official mascot (and model for the logo) of the McCarty Party National Convention.
In keeping with American political tradition, McCarty Party ’88 saw a new player join the McCarty Party team as marketing director (read “the man who raises the money”). Welcome aboard Andrew Christensen (or A.C., to those of you who know and/or like him)! Sure, we admit we didn’t put our candidate in the White House that year, even with a marketing director. So what? To be honest, we really don’t remember who our candidate was… a sure sign of a successful convention.
