McCarty Party ’86, USA for Alcohol (“Drinks Across America”), marked the end of an era. This was the last party to be held on the fashionable East Side of McCarty Estates. The following year, though we didn’t know it at the time, would see McCarty Party move to the Upper West End (or, across the road and into the woods).
1986 produced a logo that most critics (and you know who you are) agree to be the epitomy of what a McCarty Party logo ought to be: current, topical, socially aware, and undeniably alcohol related. It also produced a lot of hangovers, hangers-on, and perhaps a child or two. Seriously, we cannot keep an eye on everything… so please at least act like you’re responsible (we’ve been doing it for years now)!
