McCarty Party ’87, “Paradise Turned Liquid,” was the first party amidst the trees. It was also the first time we had the logo professionally rendered and the first appearance of Porta Potties. A bunch of firsts to be sure, but this year is primarily remembered as the least attended party in the history of McCarty Party. Why? Because on that day it rained everywhere in the state of Ohio except on McFarm.
Of course, no one believed us when we said it never rains on McCarty Party. So most of you didn’t bother to show up. Looking back, we’re pretty sure that the attendance (or lack thereof) of McCarty Party ’87 was the price we paid for making fun of religion and joking about the Big Guy… but we still blame you!
